We’re excited to roll out Eventee 3.1, packed with this major improvement: Groups! Now, you can easily customize attendee access to content and features in the app (e.g. based on their tickets). Whether it's to give them access to specific engagement features, sessions in the schedule, or even notifications. With Groups, you'll have more control over how your event runs, ensuring that each attendee has access to exactly what they came for.
This feature is included in our Enterprise plan and offered as an add-on to Solo and Business plan.
Read on to discover all the ways this new feature (and more!) can make your life easier.
🙌 Introduction of Groups
If your event has a multi-tier ticket pricing or a complex schedule with different attendee accesses, we guarantee you'll love this new feature! Cater to different budgets and maximize your revenue without compromising your event app.
With the new Groups feature, you can customize the app's experience to scale your event while delivering the right content and value your attendees paid for.
Eventee allows you to create groups that differ in access to:
- Event schedule - Mandatory sessions or exclusive sessions visible only to a certain group of attendees? We got your back! You can also set who is able to rate the individual sessions.
- Engagement features - Social wall, Gamification, Live questions, Live polling - these are the features you can turn on or off for certain groups.
- Networking - Giving access to networking only to selected attendee groups is a common practice to foster a more focused networking environment. And Eventee makes it easier than ever!
- Newsfeed posts - Push notifications are one of the most valued features by event managers, and with Groups, we’ve taken it to the next level. Now, you can send targeted messages to specific attendee groups, ensuring maximum relevance and impact.
How it works
Eventee is the easiest-to-use event tool on the market, and we stand by that. Creating an attendee group takes just a few moments!
- Turn the Groups feature on in your event administration - tab Settings > Features
- Click on Manage and create your first group
- Select the features you’d like to make available to this group
- If you use a ticketing platform, specify a ticket name to assign attendees into this group automatically

Established groups will then be available for you to use when creating content (sessions in the schedule, Newsfeed posts, or sending out invitations and reminders). Each group might have a different set of features based on the ones you assign to them. Features that are not assigned will remain hidden in the app, which creates a personalized app experience for each of your groups.

🎉 Other exciting updates
Dark mode for questions and polls projections
For events that involve displaying live questions or poll results on a big screen, we've added a simple yet effective visual update: dark mode and light mode options. This gives organizers the flexibility to choose the best visual theme based on their venue's lighting and presentation preferences. This improvement ensures your content is always easy to read. The Settings field is not visible to attendees.

Google and Microsoft Single Sign-on (SSO)
All Eventee users are now able to sign up and log in using Google or Microsoft SSO.
Alphabetical order for exhibitors
Organizing exhibitors in your event administration just got easier. The list of created exhibitors can now be sorted manually or ordered alphabetically.
Exhibitor QR codes
Want to make it easier for your attendees to discover more about your event’s exhibitors? Now, when they scan an exhibitor’s QR code, they’ll be directed straight to the exhibitor’s profile in the Eventee app. This update streamlines access to information, helping attendees connect instantly and explore the products and services on offer. The QR code is automatically generated by Eventee and can be found in the exhibitor profile details within your admin panel.

Overlapping sessions in the schedule
Event schedules at large conferences (or multi-tier ticket events) often feature sessions that overlap. With the latest update, overlapping sessions are possible in the Eventee app. This allows you to create a more complex and flexible schedule that fits your event's needs.
Invite up to 3 members to your trial account
We understand that collaboration is key to successful event planning. To make things even easier, we've updated our trial account offering: event organizers can now invite up to 3 members to work together on an event. This means you can bring in additional team members to help you plan and manage your event without needing to publish your event immediately.
