Apple keeps improving the App Store environment. Overall goal is to get rid of low quality apps and unofficial copies of the original app or game. Sadly Apple is very strict about sharing the same experience with another app and these rules affect Eventee too.
From now on, we are unable to publish the Business and Enterprise versions on our App Store account. Clients own App Store account access has to be provided, so we are able to publish Eventee under your credentials. Be aware that Apple may limit any additional instance of our Business version. If you are thinking of using Eventee for more then one event per year, we recommend that you use the Enterprise version or we can simply swipe (update) former Business licences app for new one. In this case, users will lose access to the first version.
Such a solution is the best way to ensure, that Eventee will not be rejected due to violation of Apple’s rule 4.2.6.
Rule 4.2.6
Apps created from a commercialized template or app generation service will be rejected unless they are submitted directly by the provider of the app’s content. These services should not submit apps on behalf of their clients and should offer tools that let their clients create customized, innovative apps that provide unique customer experiences. Another acceptable option for template providers is to create a single binary to host all client content in an aggregated or “picker” model, for example as a restaurant finder app with separate customized entries or pages for each client restaurant, or as an event app with separate entries for each client event.
This does not affect Free and Premium version at all. All events published within the free Eventee app will continue to work as before.
If you are interested in the Business or Enterprise versions, please contact our support team which will help you with whole process. During 2018 we will be providing tools which will help to automate the whole process and help to increase the overall experience of our customers.
