The IWTO Congress, hosted this year by Wool Industries Australia (WIA) in partnership with IWTO, is the annual meeting point for the global wool industry. This year, we’ll take you to Adelaide, Australia and the iconic Adelaide Oval, where you’ll be right in the heart of a vibrant city centre. Attractions, restaurants, the Riverbank entertainment district and more await, as we welcome you to Adelaide where the first bale of wool was exported more than 200 years ago. Within walking distance from the Oval are the hotels, a casino, and a friendly, world-connected city.
Adelaide is the capital of South Australia where 20% of Australia’s wool is produced. It’s also the home of one of the few processors left in Australia. It is a major centre for world-recognised wine production, and a host of other attractions will round out your experience. This will be IWTO’s first event in this jewel of the south.
"An Industry Interwoven"
In keeping with this year’s theme “An Industry Interwoven,” the programme will look to identify the challenges and opportunities for the wool fibre and how these can be collectively addressed.
IWTO Members may join the Working Group discussions on 15 April. From 16-18 April, the Congress welcomes speakers from across the industry. Among the featured topics:
Participants can expect to leave the 2024 Congress well-informed, well-aligned and with an understanding of the role that each industry sector plays.
